Poisoning-Induced Acute Kidney Injury: A Review

Abstract: Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a debilitating, multi-etiological disease that is commonly seen in clinical practice and in the emergency department. In this review, we introduce the definition, symptoms, and causes of poisoning-related AKI; we also discuss its mechanisms, risk factors, and epidemiology, as well as elaborate on the relevant laboratory tests.
