Peran ayah dalam mengasuh anak menjadi salah satu faktor penting yang mendukung keberhasilan proses belajar anak di masa pandemi. Hanya saja kenyataan dilapangan menunjukkan bahwa ayah hanya memiliki sedikit waktu untuk memenuhi perannya dalam mengasuh anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran ayah dalam mengasuh anak dari dimensi paternal involvement selama covid-19. Penelitian ini tergolong kedalam jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif pendekatan survei. Subek yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini yakni 256 orang ayah yang mempunyai anak usia dini. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode angket yang bersifat tertutup. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian kemudian dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif. Hasil analisis penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran ayah dalam pengasuhan anak selama pandemi covid-19 dari dimensi paternal involvement yaitu dibuktikan dengan ayah sebagai teman bermain, ayah memberi kasih sayang, ayah mempunyai waktu dan interaksi bersama serta komunikasi, ayah memberi contoh bermain, ayah mengawasi anak bermain bersama teman, ayah mengambil keputusan kegiatan, ayah merencanakan pergi bersama, ayah mengajak beribadah bersama. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa peran ayah dalam program pengasuhan anak selama covid-19 pada kategori selalu dan sering.

Introduction: The age of smokers in Indonesia is now getting younger; it has even touched the age of children. The prevalence of smoking among school-aged adolescents, or those aged 10–18 years, has increased by 9.1%. An initial survey in several junior high schools in Kabanjahe District showed that many students smoked in several shops around the school after returning from school. This study aims to determine the determinants of smoking behavior in junior high school students in Kabanjahe District. Methods: The type of research used is qualitative research with a phenomenological design. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews. The determination of informants used the purposive sampling method and obtained as many as four informants. Results: According to the findings of this study, the determinants of smoking behaviour in adolescents are their peers who invite them to smoke, factors associated with parents who do not supervise and even smoke in front of their children, and advertising factors in the mass media that involve attractive and good-looking models. The living environment contributes to adolescent smoking behavior, as does the Karo cultural factor, where cigarettes are one of the important ingredients in every traditional event in the Karo Community. Conclusion: The school should be able to provide efforts to prevent smoking behavior with training involving peer counselling by utilizing outstanding teenagers as peer educators in an effort to keep children away from the influence of smoking.

The current problem is that many vocational school graduate students still need more skills. Students' skills and readiness are influenced by many factors including productive competence, internship, and family support. This research aims to analyze the influence of perceptions of productive competence, industrial work, and family support on vocational school students' work readiness, partially or simultaneously mediated by self-efficacy. This research is causal associative research with a quantitative approach. The total population in this study was 1132 students. The sample for this research was 296 respondents. The method used to collect data is a questionnaire. The instrument used to collect data was a questionnaire. The data analysis method used is descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The data analysis technique used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The research results show that students' perceptions of productive competence, industrial work practices, family support, and self-efficacy have a positive and significant effect on students' work readiness. Based on the results of the Sobel test, Self-Efficacy can mediate the influence of productive competence, industrial work practices, and family support on vocational school students' work readiness. It was concluded that perceptions of productive competence, industrial work, and family support influenced vocational school students' work readiness. The implication of this research is that family and school support is very necessary for students so that students have good work readiness.
