Emissions from transportation activities can cause GHG effects, which cause an increase in city air temperature. The city of Bogor is working on processing BisKita as mass transportation, which is considered more environmentally friendly than public transportation (Angkot). This study aimed to analyze the basic conditions of climate-related transport emissions before and after BisKita and formulate good practice options for reducing emissions. The research was conducted in Bogor, West Java Province, focusing on public transportation and BisKita, which had not yet operated on the K3 (Ciparigi – Ciawi) and K4 lines (Bubulak – Sukasari Bus Terminal via Surya Kencana). The resulting emission value is obtained by calculating the vehicle emission value with the factors of route length, number of fleets, and total fuel consumption. The formulation of good practice options is generated for implementing low-emission transportation that is more environmentally friendly by analyzing various transportation policy literature that originates from literature studies. The analysis showed that angkot emissions could be reduced by 18.6% on the K3 route and by 14.8% on the K4 route as a reduction strategy (three angkot:1 bus) with BisKita as mass transportation. Bogor can implement various green transportation transitions and operational plans from other countries and cities in Indonesia.

This study evaluates the air temperature products of Sentinel-3 and Terra MODIS satellite images, with the aim of determining the comparison results of Sentinel-3 and Terra MODIS satellite images for air temperature observations, and also to determine the minimum and maximum temperatures of the Denpasar area obtained using satellite images. Correlation relationship analysis and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) were used to investigate the correlation and the degree of accuracy between the air temperature of satellite imagery and the air temperature of field observations. The results showed that Terra MODIS satellite imagery has better accuracy to BMKG air temperature compared to Sentinel-3 satellite imagery. Terra MODIS imagery has a correlation coefficient value of 0.95 and an RMSE value of 0.51, while Sentinel-3 satellite imagery has a correlation coefficient value of 0.78 and an RMSE value of 0.93, so it can be noted that Terra MODIS satellite images are better used in air temperature observations than Sentinel-3 satellite images. The results also showed that the minimum temperature detected by Sentinel-3 satellite images from 32 observations was 9.51°C on September 23, 2021 and the maximum temperature was 41.50°C on April 14, 2021. Meanwhile, in Terra MODIS satellite images from 32 observations, the minimum temperature was 20.57°C on September 23, 2021 and the maximum temperature was 37.08 on April 16, 2021.

The global marine aquarium trade has created new local markets across the planet, including in Indonesia, now the second-largest exporting country of marine aquarium fish in the world. Participating in the global aquarium trade has been touted as a potentially sustainable addition to fisher livelihoods, but scant data exist showing the numbers of fish coming off the reef and how those fish contribute to income. To determine how participants in the trade incorporate aquarium species in their livelihoods, we examine source-level aquarium fish collecting and trading data in the Banggai Archipelago, a region in Central Sulawesi that has become a significant source for popular aquarium, also known as ornamental, fish species. Using a sustainable livelihoods lens, we examine this data to understand how participants in the aquarium trade both contribute to as well as benefit from the trade and consider how their participation relates to emerging Blue Justice principles. From one year of buying and selling data at the fisher, intermediary buyer, and regional trader levels, we show that catching and selling fish for the aquarium trade represents an average of nearly 20% of their gross annual income and provides added diversity and flexibility to fisher and trader livelihoods in the region, especially during seasons of rough weather. We suggest that managers of an impending marine protected area in the region would do well to consider how to sustain these livelihood benefits.
