Abstract: Resumo: Este estudo analisa se o Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar (PNAE), através da participação da agricultura familiar, relacionou-se com as dimensões econômica, ambiental e social do desenvolvimento sustentável, e também verifica se as comunidades tradicionais o acessam. “…Alinhado com outros estudos (Gonzalez de Molina, 2013;Gregolin et al, 2017;Guerra et al, 2017;Mier y Terán et al, 2018;Perez-Cassarino e Ferreira, 2016;Rover, Gennaro, de e Roselli, 2016), os resultados apresentados neste artigo sugerem que compras públicas conjugadas com sobrepreços para alimentos orgânicos não necessariamente criam incentivos suficientes, nem um poder de mobilização para que mais e mais agricultores troquem seus sistemas de produção convencionais por agroecológicos/orgânicos. Nossos resultados indicam que agricultores que manejam sistemas de produção orgânicos/agroecológicos e conseguem certificar sua produção acessam outros mercados que eles julgam mais vantajosos que as compras públicas.…”
