“…In this study, we propose that association between the socially-primed character of leader-subordinate fit (Guzman and Fu, 2022) and the psychologically-driven entrepreneurial behaviour of university employees (Paños-Castro and Arruti Gómez, 2019), which is severely challenged by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic (Copeland, 2021) The four hypotheses advanced above detail the relationships among the constructs investigated in the study and inform the conceptual framework. Following Salisu and Awang (2016), this study used the conceptual framework as the starting point for designing and conducting the research, and it helped the researcher see how the constructs fit together to form a cohesive and logical sequence of influences. Ravitch and Riggan (2017) also held similar views.…”
