Abstract:The huge prevalence of pesticides in freshwater sources has led to a current demand for a modified polymer membrane with greater hydrophilic and antifouling qualities. Filtration of those pesticides using membranes remains a challenge due to fouling effects. Here, a ultrafiltration poly(ether ether) sulfone (PEES) polymer membrane was customized by the addition of a biocompatible poly(methyl vinyl ether-alt-maleic acid) (PMVEAMA) copolymer and by the inclusion of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). The PEES/PMVEAMA/… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
