Abstract: An efficient and rapid protocol for the synthesis of one-pot 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-ones has been developed by the polyaniline/SiO2 catalyzed condensation of benzaldehydes, β-ketoesters and urea/ thiourea.
