“…Much interest has been devoted to the interactions among benthic fauna, sediment and pore water for toxic organic chemicals, particularly for poly-chlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), whose ecotoxicological significance has been recognized (Jensen et al, 1969;Peakall & Lincer, 1970).
