Polyfunctional electromechanical energy transformers for technological purposes

Abstract: Polyfunctional electromechanical energy transformers with a ferromagnetic rotor are considered that allow full use of dissipative energy and structural, functional, and thermal integration. The combination in one machine of several technological functions is a feature of such devices. The rotor is cooled with raw material, which is processed. Air and low-melting materials with high thermal capacity and latent melting heat can act as an additional coolant. It is shown that almost all the conditional loss of act… Show more

“…The use of electromechanical converters as the links in the technological chain for the processing of bulk and viscous materials is among the current trends in the field of scientific research of the 21 st century. A promising class of Polyfunctional Electromechanical Energy Converters (PEEC), designed for the direct technological processes implementation, is distinguished by an enhanced concentration of functional and energy properties, as well as the almost complete use of electric energy coming from the electrical power network (Zablodskiy, Plyugin, & Gritsyuk, 2014;Zablodskiy, Plyugin, & Gritsyuk, 2016).…”

“…Перспективный класс полифункцио-нальных электромеханических преобразователей энергии (ПЭМП), предназначенных для непосред-ственного осуществления технологических процессов, отличается усиленной концентрацией функциональ-ных и энергетических свойств и практически полным использованием поступающей из сети электрической энергии (Zablodskiy, Plyugin, & Gritsyuk, 2016).…”

“…In foreign literature, mechatronics is a definition that often combines both of the above terms. Another direction in the science development based on the integrated design principles, is the design of multifunctional induction motors [12] (for example, the simultaneous realization of mechanical work to move liquid or bulk media and their heating). In this case, the synergistic effect is in useful use of losses in induction motors and intensification of their cooling [13].…”
