Polymer action on alkali–silica reaction in cement mortar

Abstract: Due to the improvement of several properties, such as lower water absorption and increasing resistance to microcracking, polymer modification of mortar and concrete potentially leads to an inhibiting effect on alkalisilica reaction (ASR).
