Polymorphisms of Estrogen Receptor-α and Estrogen Receptor-β Genes and its Expression in Endometriosis

Abstract: Objectives: Endometriosis is a common gynecological disorder, characterized by the presence of endometrial-like tissue in extrauterine location. Increases of estradiol concentration can influence the risk of endometriosis and activity of estrogen receptors. Polymorphism in estrogen receptors (ER) cause the alteration of gene expression and influence the interaction hormone-receptors.
