Polypharmacy, renal insufficiency and elder care: a systematic review

Abstract: The incidence of comorbidities increases as individuals age, and many people are treated with multiple medications, referred to as polypharmacy. When individuals are prescribed more than two nephrotoxic medicines, renal insufficiency may result.
