Abstract: Gums Arabic (GA) and Xanthan (GX) are natural polysaccharides that can be extracted by natural means for applications, such adsorption of pollutants. Structural modifications such as carboxymethylation on bio-adsorbent materials, can be performed to improve its adsorptive properties.
