Abstract:Tight oil reservoirs are characterized by multiple pore spaces where nano-micropores and multiscale fractures coexist, and each type of medium varies in scale, implying a tight coupling of multiscale fractures with matrix and giving rise to extremely complicated flow patterns. To further investigate its flow mechanism, we first construct three two-dimensional (2-D) fracture-pore geometry models based on microfocus computed tomography (CT) imaging of a typical tight rock. A pore-scale modeling workflow is there… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
