Poro-Thermoelastic Waves in a Homogeneous Anisotropic Plate Plunged in the Inviscid Fluid

Abstract: This paper inspects the behavior of thermoelastic waves in the homogeneous, transversely isotropic plate containing voids immersed in the inviscid fluid in reference to the one-temperature generalized model of thermoelasticity. The basic governing equations for the solid plate have been developed in the context of the linear theory of poro-thermoelasticity. Helmholtz decomposition principle has been employed to solve the equations of motion for liquid. For the stress-free solid-liquid interfaces, the isotherma… Show more

“…The secular equation for the continuation of vibrations for the mode numbers in the considered cylinder has been deduced. Pathania and Dhiman [33,34] studied the Rayleigh-Lamb waves in the homogeneous isotropic, and anisotropic thermoelastic plate with vacuous cavities, sandwiched between inviscid fluid layers on both sides in the context of LS generalization. In the preview of generalized thermoelasticity, Sharma et al [35] studied the free vibrations in the nonlocal transversely isotropic electro-magneto thermoelastic hollow cylinder with voids.…”
