Abstract: BackgroundPediatric Inflammatory Multisystem Syndrome Associated With SARS-CoV-2 (PIMS) is a new insidious disease which in several points may mimic Kawasaki disease. Patients diagnosed with one of the aforementioned conditions are initially treated with intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG). However, up to 20% of children diagnosed with Kawasaki disease appear to be resistant to such therapy.
