Possibilities for Advanced Encoding Techniques at Signal Transmission in the Optical Transmission Medium

Abstract: This paper presents a possible simulation of negative effects in the optical transmission medium and an analysis for the utilization of different signal processing techniques at the optical signal transmission. An attention is focused on the high data rate signal transmission in the optical fiber influenced by linear and nonlinear environmental effects presented by the prepared simulation model. The analysis includes possible utilization of OOK, BPSK, DBPSK, BFSK, QPSK, DQPSK, 8PSK, and 16QAM modulation techni… Show more

“…Node1 received 9201 packets (4,710 MB) during the simulation with an average End-to-End delay value of 0,013 second. By testing the availability of node1, a packet loss of 78% was calculated according to formula (1). The RTT results reached a minimum and maximum value (1,261; 1,846), with the average of all values being 1,516 ms.…”

“…Finally, in the fifth part, we evaluate the results of the simulations. [1,2] 2 Security of VANET Is one of the most important challenges in the field of intelligent transport systems. Packets transmitted in VANET contain life critical information, so it is necessary to ensure that these packets are not modified by an attacker.…”
