Abstract:An extended model of flow orientation has been developed for analyz ing the in-plane anisotropy in Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films. In the model deve loped, the velocity potential is derived for a sys tem with a two-dimensional fluid and a sink, which repres ent the mo no la yer at the air-water interface and the substrate, respectively. The rotatory mo tion in this field is examined assuming a Bingham plasticity. Thus obtained angular distribution function is found to satisfactorily explain the anisotropic absor… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
