Possible Chronic Graft-versus-host Disease in the Central Nervous System Manifesting as Cerebellar Ataxia after Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation for Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Abstract: A 44-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital with a fever, dizziness, and gait disturbance after undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for acute myeloid leukemia followed by graftversus-host disease. She presented with cerebellar ataxia, nystagmus, and numbness of the lower extremities. Brain magnetic resonance imaging and perfusion scintigraphy showed progressive cerebellar involvement.
