Possible involvement of regulatory T cell abnormalities and variational usage of TCR repertoire in children with autoimmune neutropenia

Abstract: Patients with autoimmune neutropenia (AIN) showed variational and skewed usages of T cell receptor (TCR)‐Vβ families in CD4+CD25− T cells and CD4+CD25+CD127low T cells, compared to those of control subjects.

“…Recently, it has been mentioned that a new therapy of utilization regulatory T cells is used in those patients who have Type-1 diabetes for protecting the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas (Goda et al, 2021). The beta-cell autoantigens are glutamic acid decarboxylase, insulin, insulinoma antigen, and tyrosine phosphatase (Maurizi et al, 2018).…”

“…In Study IV, the paper, "Genetic polymorphisms in IL-2, IL-10 and FOXP3 are associated with autoimmune neutropenia in early childhood and autoantibody specificity in a Danish cohort" focused on an observation that had shown low frequencies of total and activated Tregs and skewness of TCR-Vβ families among AIN patients [194], [195]. A decrease in the number of activated Tregs may play an important role in the autoimmune response to HNA due to a deficiency of suppressive function.…”
