Post‐transplant lymphoproliferative disease in children, adolescents, and young adults

Abstract: Post-transplant lymphoproliferative disease (PTLD) remains a major complication of transplantation. PTLD is a rare entity and very heterogenous making consensus on diagnosis and treatment very challenging. The majority are Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) driven, CD20+ B-cell proliferations. PTLD does occur following hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT), but due to the relative short risk period and efficacy of preemptive therapy, PTLD following HSCT will not be discussed in this review.
