HighlightsPosterior retroperitoneoscopic (PR) technique has advantages over transperitoneal approach.Many surgeons keep using laparoscopy because they are more confident when working in the wider peritoneal space.Posterior retroperitoneoscopy is feasible and safe, and avoids bowel injury.PR adrenalectomy has a small learning curve.
