Abstract:Background: From harmless corneal abrasion to vision-threatening retinal detachment, ocular injuries manifest in a wide variety of ways. Frequently, injuries are preventable, and these incidents in children can result in lifelong disabilities which pose a substantial socioeconomic burden on society.
