Postoperative Complications in Femoral Fracture Blocking Intramedullary Osteosynthesis

Abstract

Treatment results for 676 patients (out of them 487 with polytrauma) with 708 femoral fractures were analyzed. In all patients blocking intramedullary osteosynthesis was performed. The most common somatic complication was deep vein thrombosis - 128 (18.1%) observations that was more often diagnosed in patients with polytrauma ( p
