“…I read with great interest the article titled ‘Postoperative drainage with a vacutainer ® tube after excision of the preauricular sinus’ by Kim et al. 1 They introduced to the reader a ‘practical and covenient’ method to drain the wide postoperative dead space left after preauricular sinus excision. I agree to the authors’ opinions that a wide radical resection is essential to prevent recurrent disease and resultant wide dead space may produce unwanted events including infected haematoma.…”
