Postoperative Immobilization of Scaphoid Fractures: A Comprehensive Review of the Literature

Abstract: The optimal protocol for postoperative immobilization following operative treatment of scaphoid fractures remains controversial. Reports of successful management with brief postoperative immobilization suggest that earlier restoration of function may be achieved by limiting the duration of immobilization.
