Posztoperatív vertigo vizsgálata stapedotomián és stapedectomián átesett betegeknél

Abstract: Bevezetés és célkitűzés: Az otosclerosisban szenvedők vezetéses halláscsökkenésének hátterében legnagyobbrészt a kengyel (stapes) talpának a környezetéhez való fixációja áll. Show more

“…Vestibular symptoms were observed in approximately 70% of patients during the first week following stapedotomy. 9,10 Late vertigo as a complication of stapes surgery was relatively rare (5% to 8% of cases), coinciding with our observations. Persistent vertigo, in addition to a lack of hearing improvement or further hearing loss, is one of the indications for revision of stapes surgery for otosclerosis.…”

“…Regarding the complaints, the postoperative period differed between the 2 groups, as on the first postoperative day, significantly fewer patients reported vertigo following stapedotomy, and the intensity of vertigo was markedly lower compared to the patients following stapedectomy. 7 No specific complication was observed in the groups postoperatively. The NiTiBOND prostheses were implanted between January 2012 and August 2014, and the stapedectomies were performed between October 2006 and December 2013.…”

“…Late vertigo as a complication of stapes surgery is relatively rare (5%–8% of cases). 108 Persistent vertigo associated with a poor audiologic outcome is one of the indications for revision stapes surgery for otosclerosis. The revision surgery rate ranges from 2.5% to 13.2%.…”
