Abstract:Oxidoreductases (ORases) are enzymes that catalyze oxidation and reduction reactions in cells or extracellular compartments of the body. Genetic mutations and other factors that affect ORase activity have been implicated in a range of diseases, especially inherited metabolic disorders.
