Potential roles of N-glycosylation in cell adhesion

Abstract: The functional units of cell adhesion are typically multiprotein complexes made up of three general classes of proteins; the adhesion receptors, the cell-extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins, and the cytoplasmic plaque/peripheral membrane proteins.
