Abstract: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma is a rare but lethal cancer. Recent evidence suggests that pancreatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PanIN), a microscopic precursor lesion that gives rise to pancreatic cancer, is larger and more prevalent than previously believed.
