Brazilian special education has evolved towards a concept based on respect for differences and a focus on accessibility resources. It is thinking about the communicational accessibility of the person with disability that this work is proposed, mainly because the existing technologies are relatively recent and little known. In this scope, this work presents a theoretical and practical vision about Augmentative and/or Alternative Communication (AAC) in the context of inclusive education, with the target audience mainly, but not exclusively, students or professionals in the areas of computing, education, speech therapy, psychology and occupational therapy who are interested in acting or conducting research, development and/or innovation in the AAC area. As Development methodology, this work presents, in the theoretical part, an exposition of contents about inclusion, public policies, legal aspects, specialized educational service room, historical-cultural theory, as well as the concepts of assistive technology, accessibility and AC. In turn, in practical part, free applications for AAC will be compared and the best one, according to the listed criteria, will be presented in more detail and in a practical way, showing examples of uses for inclusive education.
