Introduction:When the woman is in labor, childbirth and puerperium, they need to be accompanied by a medical team and a reliable companion. In this context, the occupational therapist promotes actions to occupational performance. Objective: To describe the possibilities of occupational therapist's interventions in a high-risk obstetric center. Method: A descriptive, documentary, retrospective, quantitative study carried out in a multiprofessional integrated residency health program at a reference hospital in Recife-PE, from April to June 2018. Sample composed of records of 10 occupational therapists residents from 2010 to 2017. The analysis was performed using Microsoft Excel, SPSS and Chisquared test. Results: A total of 351 records and 45 reports were evaluated, it was possible to observe more frequency of the interventions by R1 in labor and puerperium. While, among R2, the prevalence was in prenatal and other gynecological/obstetric situations. The interventions found in prenatal care were: activities of daily life -ADL (29.1%), psychosocial approach (27.4%) and health education (21.2%). In the labor were: assistance in labor and childbirth (71.8%), health education (11.3%) and psychosocial approach (10.3%). In puerperium were the ADL (43.1%), psychosocial approach (14.5%) and instrumental activity of daily living (12.4%). The occupational therapist elaborates actions to favor the functional and occupational performance of the woman, encompassing the different dimensions of the pregnancy-puerperal period in the hospital context. Conclusion: The practice of the occupational therapist in the HOC promotes paradigm changes, making the woman protagonist in their performance areas and favoring actions of health promotion.

Background: Psoriasis is a multifactorial inflammatory disease prevalent in dermatology. We aimed to understand the perceptions of patients living with psoriasis in relation to their quality of life and to identify aspects to improve it.Methods: This is qualitative research carried out in a dermatology outpatient clinic of the São Paulo State University (UNESP) medical school, Botucatu, Brazil, with 81 psoriasis patients. The interviews were transcribed and analysed using the Discourse of the Collective Subject method (DCS).Results: Quality of life was linked to well-being, happiness, leisure, good food and financial stability. However, disease symptoms, social and clothing restrictions, impairment of professional activities and the absence of a cure, negatively influenced their perceptions. Suggestions for improvements included an increase of public awareness, stress reduction, disease acceptance and multidisciplinary care.Conclusion: The meanings of quality of life revealed by the participants are subjective, multidimensional, linked to moments experienced by them and to the health-disease process. Public health policies promoting reduction in social stigma and stress as well as multidisciplinary approaches towards care can contribute to improvements of QoL in psoriasis.

Objetivos: Verificar o cumprimento do quarto e quinto passos da Iniciativa Hospital Amigo da Criança em uma maternidade de referência no nordeste brasileiro. Metodologia: Pesquisa descritiva de natureza quantitativa, realizada entre março e julho de 2019, com 380 puérperas entrevistadas nas enfermarias do hospital para preenchimento de um formulário. Os dados foram tabulados de acordo com as frequências absolutas e relativas. Resultados: Encontrou-se que 17% dos bebês foram colocados para mamar na sala de parto em cumprimento do quarto passo da Iniciativa Hospital Amigo da Criança, 82% das mães receberam auxílio para amamentar em cumprimento do quinto passo; 79% das mães tinham entre 20 a 30 anos, 61% eram pardas, 71% eram casadas, 57% cursaram Ensino Médio, 69% eram donas de casa, 48% com renda entre 1 e 2 salários mínimos, 42% tinha 2 filhos, 54% não tinham residência própria, todas fizeram pré-natal, 66% fizeram mais de 6 consultas, 79% foi orientada sobre amamentação. Conclusão: Os índices encontrados referentes ao quarto e quintos passos da Iniciativa Hospital Amigo da Criança estão abaixo dos recomendados pelo Ministério da Saúde. Esses resultados reforçam a importância da efetivação do apoio e promoção do aleitamento materno como foco da equipe de enfermagem.
