Abstract: The pathogenesis of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is multifactorial and composite, with the disorder of lipid metabolism‐induced lipotoxicity being one of the main risk factors. Atorvastatin (AT), the most widely prescribed lipid‐lowering drug, has pleiotropic actions benefiting NAFLD treatment.
