“…In at least two reports, ED drug usage was associated with the risk of seroconversion (Ostrow et al, 2009;Prestage et al, 2009), and its use in combination with recreational drugs and sexual behaviors may have even greater detrimental effects, particularly among MSM. As has been suggested in prior studies (Baker et al, 2019;Chu et al, 2003;Garin et al, 2017;Ryan et al, 2018;Swearingen & Klausner, 2005), we may need to provide better public health guidance to persons who use ED drugs, keeping in mind that some persons obtain ED drugs from non-prescriber sources for recreational use.
