“…The manufacturing process of the curved polymeric plates was simulated numerically. For it, governing equations are as below: 25 where ρ is the density, ṽ is the velocity vector, P is the pressure, is the viscous stress tensor, g̃ is the gravity/body-force vector, C p is the specific heat at constant pressure, β is the coefficient of thermal expansion, and q̃ is the heat flux. Since the polymer melt was regarded as a non-Newtonian viscous fluid in this study, the viscosity, η can be expressed using the following modified Cross model.…”

“…[5,14] In general, pattern structures, such as pattern size, shape, and aspect ratio, and molding conditions, such as melting temperature, mold temperature, injection pressure, and injection speed, affect the precision of replication. [15][16][17][18][19] Improved replication precision has been reported by adjusting molding methods such as rapid heating of mold surface, [20,21] vacuum molding, [22] and injection compression molding. [23,24] Polymer resin, a material used in injection molding, is injected into the mold by an injection molding machine resulting in solidification of the resin followed by rapid decrease in its flowability, which makes it difficult for it to fill the nanostructure of the nano-pattern.…”

“…Although some researchers have shared their definitions of micro-molded products, which will be Polymers 2021, 13, 2877 2 of 41 discussed later in this paper [1,[4][5][6][7][8], the size of the micro-molded parts is expected to exceed their definitions due to the continuous development of MIM. In fact, micro-molded parts have been gradually extending to sub-micron [9][10][11] or even nano-scale [12][13][14].…”
