Predator-prey: predation strategies of Leptodactylus macrosternum and defensive behavior of Leptodactylus fuscus

Abstract: Congeneric predation between two Leptodactylus species was recorded and information was collected on the predation strategy of L. macrosternum and the defensive behavior and distress call of L. fuscus. The entire predation event lasted about 90 min and ended when predator tore integument of the prey's ventral region, facilitating swallowing.
