“…The American Diabetes Association recommends screening for prediabetes beginning at age 45 for all adults and screening for type 2 diabetes in all asymptomatic adults who are overweight or obese. Only the American Academy of Clinical Endocrinologists calls for screening of all adults aged at least 45 and younger adults with any risk factor, regardless of body weight [27].
