“…Housing instability conferred risk across discharge categories. It has been shown that, for persons in substance abuse treatment, ending up homeless at discharge is a fairly common outcome resulting from a breakdown in recognizing patients in need of housing assistance (Moxley et al, 2020). As such, housing resources should be of high priority for those being released from correctional, behavioral health, and healthcare facilities.…”
