“…The study area (Dachanggou Basin) is located in the northern Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and its tectonic orientation is part of the Tangbala Karamaili Paleozoic composite trench-arc belt on the Junggar microplate that is part of the Kazakhstan plate (Figure a). The basin is surrounded by Meso-Cenozoic basins, such as the Santanghu Basin, Junggar Basin, Balikun Basin, and Turpan Hami Basin (Figure b). These basins in northern Xinjiang have had similar geological evolution histories since the Mesozoic, so they have the same stratigraphic division system The study horizon is the Early Jurassic Badaowan Formation.…”

“…Lake sediments are the best carriers of natural ecosystems such as terrestrial hydrological systems and vegetation evolution. However, how to extract credible hydrological information from lake sediments, especially lake level information, is the focus of lake research. Researchers’ research on lake levels of lake land lakes mainly focuses on biomarkers (such as calcium algae, benthic foraminifera and planktonic foraminifera, coral communities, and ostracods) and geochemistry (such as U/Th, V/Cr, and Ni/Co values). The above data provide a theoretical and data basis for the restoration of lake levels, and a large number of high-level research results have been achieved. However, when the lake level recovery is carried out for the sedimentary strata of the oil and gas basins in the non-field outcrop area, the above methods are generally highly dependent on the core (physical sample), so it is difficult to carry out the continuous recovery of a set of strata, which greatly limits the research and application of lake levels. For this reason, many researchers use INPEFA and Dynamic noise after orbital tuning (DYNOT) technology to carry out special mathematical processing of conventional logging data, extract the hidden lake level in the original logging curve, and determine the change of ancient lake level by analyzing the trend form and inflection point type of different levels of INPEFA and DYNOT curves. INPEFA and DYNOT technology provides new ideas and methods for lake level research.…”

“…For this reason, many researchers have proposed logging prediction methods for TOC content, such as Δlog R , linear regression model, and artificial neural network. They mostly use basic logging curves such as resistivity, density, γ ray, and acoustic, which are effective in practical applications. , …”

“…Organic-rich fine-grained sedimentary rocks are closely related to regional climate evolution and can even correspond to global climate events. The thick coal deposits in the Fushun Basin provide a good opportunity for studying element enrichment, occurrence forms, and influencing factors in coal seams. Many researchers have conducted detailed studies on the source of organic matter, sedimentary environment, and extreme climate of coal seams in the Fushun Basin, providing a preliminary basis for this study. However, only few studies have investigated element enrichment, occurrence forms, and sources of coal seams in the Fushun Basin.…”
