Prediction of Photocatalytic Degradation and Mineralization Efficiencies of Basic Blue 3 Using $${{\rm TiO}_{2}}$$ TiO 2 by Nonlinear Modeling Based on Box–Behnken Design

Abstract: In the present study, nonlinear modeling of color and chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal of Basic Blue 3 as a fairly toxic textile dye by photocatalytic degradation using TiO 2 was investigated. A three replicates and one duplicate of Box-Behnken design with 45 runs, with three factors and three levels of catalyst concentration of 0.5-1.5 g/L, initial dye concentration of 20-100 mg/L, and initial pH of 3-11 were set to quantify the explanatory variables. ANOVA results showed that the best-fit multi-nonlinear… Show more

“…In addition, the estimated F-value of the model was greater than the tabulated F-value; therefore, the p-value was very low (p<0.0001), and the model was significant. The p-values of , , and , and their squares were less than 0.01 and considered statistically significant (24). However, the p-value of the binary interaction between the variables was higher than 0.05 indicating that the interaction of variables was non-significant.…”

“…The terms of , , and their squares have a p-value of less than 0.01; therefore, they are distinctly significant. Nevertheless, their squares and term ( ) have great p-values signifying that they are not significant (19). However, the term of the binary interaction between the variables has a p-value of more than 0.05 indicating that the interaction of variables is non-significant.…”
