Abstract: Background Human immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and consequently the acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) remain a significant public health problem, having claimed 36.3 million lives so far. In 2020, approximately 680,000 people died from AIDS-related illnesses worldwide.
