While this value is higher than the national figure of 17% stated by the 2013 Nigeria Demographic Health Survey ( 11 ), it is less than the EBF result in Kano State (70.0%) ( 14 ) and Sokoto State (31.0%) ( 15 ), but slightly higher than the one reported by earlier studies in Edo State (20.9%) ( 11 ) and Osun State (19.0%) ( 41 ).
