Abstract:Traumatic avulsion fractures of the lesser trochanter are usually seen along with fractures of the proximal femur and with young adolescents involved in high-intensity sporting injuries. Atraumatic isolated lesser trochanter avulsion in adults are most commonly associated with malignancy.
