Preliminary results on prevalence of stongylus spp infection in donkeys and mules from Korҫa region
Abstract:This study was conducted to evaluate the prevalence of strongylus spp infection in donkeys and mules population from Korҫa region. Fresh feces samples were collected from 60 animals, and examined by improved modified McMaster method. From 60 feces samples analyzed, 58 of them resulted positive for the presence of strongylus spp. The prevalence rate of the infection by strongylus spp resulted as follows: 96% in donkeys and 100 % in mules.
