Preliminary results on the bird protection effectiveness of animal deflectors on railway overhead lines based on electrical current evaluation

Abstract: In contrast to other transportation systems, railway systems feature special characteristics, which may cause specific hazards to birds. Among other things, there is the risk of electrocutions resulting from short circuits.
