Preliminary results on the use of magnetic techniques on the study of the granite aureoles.

Abstract: The thermal effect of the granite emplacement on the surrounding country rocks has been studied by the use of three magnetic techniques: magnetic susceptibility, isothermal remanent magnetization and Curie point. This effect would sometimes produce metasomatic reactions which yields new ferromagnetic components in the surrounding country rocks.
