a b s t r a c tThe increasing need for thermal comfort has led to a rapid increase in the use of cooling systems and, consequently, electricity demand for air-conditioning systems in buildings. Heat-driven ejector refrigeration systems appear to be a promising alternative to the traditional compressor-based refrigeration technologies for energy consumption reduction. This paper presents a comprehensive literature review on ejector refrigeration systems and working fluids. It deeply analyzes ejector technology and behavior, refrigerant properties and their influence over ejector performance and all of the ejector refrigeration technologies, with a focus on past, present and future trends. The review is structured in four parts. In the first part, ejector technology is described. In the second part, a detailed description of the refrigerant properties and their influence over ejector performance is presented. In the third part, a review focused on the main jet refrigeration cycles is proposed, and the ejector refrigeration systems are reported and categorized. Finally, an overview over all ejector technologies, the relationship among the working fluids and the ejector performance, with a focus on past, present and future trends, is presented.

Two-phase ejectors play a major role as refrigerant expansion devices in vapor compression systems and can find potential applications in many other industrial processes. As a result, they have become a focus of attention for the last few decades from the scientific community, not only for the expansion work recovery in a wide range of refrigeration and heat pump cycles but also in industrial processes as entrainment and mixing enhancement agents. This review provides relevant findings and trends, characterizing the design, operation and performance of the two-phase ejector as a component. Effects of geometry, operating conditions and the main developments in terms of theoretical and experimental approaches, rating methods and applications are discussed in detail. Ejector expansion refrigeration cycles (EERC) as well as the related theoretical and experimental research are reported. New and other relevant cycle combinations proposed in the recent literature are organized under theoretical and experimental headings by refrigerant types and/or by chronology whenever appropriate and systematically commented. This review brings out the fact that theoretical ejector and cycle studies outnumber experimental investigations and data generation. More emerging numerical studies of two-phase ejectors are a positive step, which has to be further supported by more validation work.

Роботу присвячено розробці методу оптимального проектування вакуумно-випарних теплонасосних установок (ТНУ) для системи охолодження технологічного обладнання другого контуру атомної електростанції (АЕС) з використанням сучасних методів термодинамічного аналізу та термоекономічної оптимізації. Запропоновано дві схеми включення вакуумно-випарної ТНУ в систему охолодження другого контуру АЕС. Перша схема передбачає використання ТНУ в комплексі з існуючою градирнею і дозволяє доохолодити воду після градирні з 30 °С до 25 °С. За другою схемою тільки ТНУ здійснює охолодження води до необхідних параметрів. Розроблено термодинамічну модель для прогнозування статичних характеристик ТНУ. Проаналізовано термодинамічні властивості води як холодоагенту, оцінено їх вплив на режимні параметри і енергетичну ефективність парокомпресійного циклу. Встановлено, що вода повністю відповідає всім вимогам екологічної безпеки, які пред'являються до робочих речовин теплових насосів. Її використання дозволяє забезпечити високі енергетичні показники циклу в порівнянні з синтетичними холодоагентами. До проблемних аспектів використання води можна віднести характерну для пароводяного циклу високу температуру в кінці процесу стиснення. Однак шляхом застосування двох секційного конденсатора з утилізацією теплоти зняття перегріву пари вплив цієї температури на енергетичні, а також експлуатаційні показники установки, можна нівелювати. З використанням графоаналітичного апарату побудови С-кривих здійснено вибір раціональних схемно-циклових рішень вакуумно-випарної теплонасосної установки, які забезпечують ефективну роботу установки для охолодження технологічного обладнання другого контуру АЕС, оцінено капіталомісткість системи. На основі моделювання теплогідравлічних процесів в контурі циркуляції холодоагенту виконано термоекономічну оптимізацію і визначено режимно-конструктивні характеристики установки, які відповідають мінімуму зведених витрат при її експлуатації Ключові слова: вакуумно-випарна теплонасосна установка, атомна електростанція, термоекономічна модель, зведені витрати
