Preliminary Survey of the Safety Standards in Korea to Estimate their Scale and Analyses of Representative Problem Cases

Abstract: This study introduces representative problem cases of safety standards based on a preliminary analyses of Korean laws and regulations. This study also discusses improvement strategies for safety standards to minimize similar types of accidents. It was found that 760 standards currently exist in Korea, among which the Ministry of Lands, Infrastructure and Transport has the largest number.
