Premorbid IQ in Schizophrenia: A Meta-Analytic Review

Abstract: Years before the onset of psychotic symptoms, individuals with schizophrenia, as a group, demonstrate mean IQ scores approximately one-half of a standard deviation below that of healthy comparison subjects.
