Abstract:Magnetocardiography (MCG) is a technique that enables the noncontact, noninvasive measurement of electrocardiographic phenomena, and fetal magnetocardiography (FMCG) is extremely useful for the analysis of fetal electrocardiographic phenomena. We have used FMCG for the diagnosis and treatment of a range of fetal arrhythmias, and to perform comparative studies of autonomic nervous system activity in fetuses with normal growth and those with fetal growth restriction by analyzing fetal heart rate variability. “…Also, the fetal magnetocardiography (FMCG) detects fetal QRS without maternal signal, and applied to FHR monitoring [8]. Uterine contraction is recorded processing the electrohysterogram, the electric activity of uterine muscle.…”

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
